encrypt0r is a simple Open Source option for quick passphrase encrypting and decrypting of files.

This is an excellent option for file encryption; simple to use. You can encrypt a file quickly through a simple process. Run the app, drop your file(s) into the interface, and choose your passphrase; you'll need to remember it for the decryption/encryption to be successful, then hit the desired action (decrypt/encrypt). That's it. The file is appended with .enc format and stored in your chosen location.

encrypt0r is not the Fort Knox of encryption software, so don't treat it as impenetrable. It is a decent way to store critical data files with at least some type of security instead of out in plain view.
