Auction Team Breker notes that back in November 2012, a similar condition Apple-1 was able to fetch a cool $640,000 at auction! The Auction posted a video to YouTube to prove that the relic is still very much in working order.
This is a real piece of history for sure, and another thing that makes this a rarity is the Steve Wozniak signature on the circuit board.

AppleInsider notes that Steve Jobs wrote a letter to the computer's original owner Fred Hatfield, and offered to exchange the Apple-1 for an Apple II 4K motherboard for an extra $400. When the Apple-1 board was introduced in 1976, it sold for $666.66. I am going to go out on a limb and say that Hatfield is probably pretty happy that he didn't take that deal.
It makes you wonder about all the things that you may have thrown out or sold way back when that might have been worth so much more now.
