Matthew Flannery, who went by the name Aush0k online, is now being charged with computer sabotage and unauthorized access to restricted data. Working as a support tech at Content Security, an Australian IT security company, his employer says he did not have access to confidential customer data.
Claiming to be the ringleader of the hacker group LulzSec, the group that attacked such sites as Sony Pictures, PBS, and InfraGard, law enforcement agencies were able to arrest members in the UK, Ireland and the US after a leading member of the group turned informant.
One former member of the group denied that Aush0K was ever a part of the group. He labeled Flannery as a "raging egowhoring skid".
Recently, Cody Kretsinger ( aka Recursion ) was recently sentenced in the US to a year and a day, the minimum for such a crime. Three members of the UK group have yet to be sentenced.
