Twitter #Music App Launches for iPhone and Web: Listen and Discover Trending Music

As expected, Twitter is getting in on the music game. They say it was tested with “artists and influencers” and you can get it starting today at https://music.twitter.com/ and on the Apple App Store and there is no Android version yet.

So what does the service do? ABC News says it does what you might expect from a music app from Twitter -- it helps you find music that's popular on Twitter and music based on the bands you follow. The app is centered on four pages or tabs, which you can swipe through to access.



The iPhone app, which "Good Morning America" got an exclusive early look at, has a slick and polished design. All the pages have a grid made up of artists and songs; tap one of those and the song will start playing along with a fun spinning CD animation in the bottom left corner. Tap on that and you get an enlarged CD -- you can drag your finger around the CD to fast forward or rewind within that song.
