More silly Windows Blue, 9 and now 8.1 name rumors

According to a photo posted on Twitter, the next name of Windows, codenamed Blue, could be Windows 8.1 Of course, this is rumor and as far we are concerned it seems unlikely. Typically you can expect a bunch of code names and rumors as development continues but we are more inclined to expect Microsoft to now stick to a simple naming setup, i.e. Windows 9. To call it 8.1 seems like it would confuse Windows 8 and Windows 8 Service Pack 1 so we assume this is not a future name but simply the way someone handling the code labeled it.

Android and Mac tend to stick to cool names but the last version of Windows to have an actual name, Vista, is considered by those with a brain to be one of their worst operating systems ever.

Now that I think about it, I don’t even know why I posted this. I guess people like to discuss rumors. Personally, all I care about is when it is released and where’s my start menu?
