Major Facebook revamp due Thursday (Videos)

Facebook is set to unveil a new look for its popular 'newsfeed' on Thursday, the latest move by the company to revamp key elements of its one billion member social network.

Facebook will showcase the newsfeed makeover at a media event on Thursday March 7 at its Menlo Park, California headquarters according to MailOnline.

The event will be Facebook's second high-profile product event already this year, following the roll-out of its social search feature in January.

While not all is known yet we expect to see Bing integration, a snub towards Google and its failing (failed?) Google+ social network and possibly a way to take a chunk of their search business away. The promises also include better, more personalized advertisements. This is known as Facebook Graph Search. Privacy is promised but we all know the Facebook track record here.

An updated messenger app with free phone call is promised as well as better mobile integration. Instagram integration is also possible in this update.
