D3DGear is an advanced game recording software and utility for Windows DirectX & OpenGL PC games.
D3DGear helps you record whatever 3D game you are playing and save the recording in AVI movie format to share or upload to YouTube. The screenshot capture tool quickly captures any game or application and saves them to your local drive.
To record a game, navigate to the "Record Movie" tab in the program. You select what options you need; frame rate, movie size, etc. You will notice a "hotkey" assigned, typically F8. Remember that key. Fire up the game and, when ready, hit the hotkey to start or stop the record. It's that easy.
D3DGear's recording engine is very efficient, so you see minimal if any, performance hits to your gameplay with a modern PC.
If you have Aero Desktop enabled, you can also record your Windows Desktop for sharing later; right-click the D3DGear logo in the systray and choose "Start Recording Aero Desktop."
